Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Penang, Malaysia!

Penang, known as the “Pearl of the Orient,” offers a wider range of amenities and attractions than anywhere else in Malaysia, and is a good destination choice if you want to have a taste of all that Malaysia has to offer in one convenient location. About 8 miles off the northwestern coast of the Malaysia mainland in the Strait of Malacca, in the northeastern corner of Penang, the main port city of Georgetown, named after King George III, once was Britain’s main commercial center, attracting immigrants from all over Europe and Asia. Penang is connected to the mainland by one of the world’s longest bridges, as well as by ferry. The demographic composition of the area is more Chinese than on the Malaysian mainland, but the harmony of Chinese, Malaysian, Indian and colonial British cultures results in an ambiance that is unique to Penang.
